Hello, we are Frodas. We help charities and social enterprises to flourish.
Enterprise can be a useful way for voluntary sector organisations to move away from a reliance on grants or donations and generate a sustainable stream of unrestricted income. It can also, however, carry uncertainties and risks.
With Frodas, you can be confident that you’ll be doing it right. Our experience in this area will help you to avoid mistakes and grab opportunities.
Frodas is led by Director, Tom Barratt, and supported by a team of freelance specialists. Together, they are skilled in organisational effectiveness, innovation, strategy, design, copywriting and research - they are able to nurture innovation, identify market gaps, develop propositions, launch products, evaluate and scale-up.
Tom has worked for marketing agencies - helping to build some of the UK’s most recognised brands and also worked in-house for charities, where he's led the marketing communications, corporate relationships and commercial trading teams. He has run a grant-funded Olympic Legacy programme for young people, where he oversaw the launch a commercial offer and transformed it into a new social enterprise.
Tom’s experience has equipped him with the knowledge of what needs to be done to develop, launch and grow a business with also an understanding of what needs to happen in order to get decisions made within charities. He is Chartered Institute of Marketing qualified, with particular strengths in marketing planning and business strategy.
